In Design Studio II, the main emphasis is on site design as each project comes with unique site conditions for young students.

The first design project was for a temporary pavilion in the UK. The goal was to disturb the site as little as possible and to have a structure that could easily be built and disassembled.

The second project was for a restaurant in Webster, NY. The site challenge with this project came with the site being located off Lake Ontario. The building had to be designed close enough to the water for views, but not too close that rising water levels would affect the building.

The final project was for a small rest home off the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland. This had similar challenges to the prior project, but the amount of required parking spaces made it very difficult to achieve comfort between the building and parking.

Shown to the left are the posters for these three projects.
