In the spring of sophomore year, students continued design classes with Design Studio III. The design emphasis in this studio was on building construction and detailing.

The first design project for this class was a group project for a competition on campus to create a new sign for one of the campus buildings. Those same groups then stayed together to create an alumni center on campus. The multi-story building would include guest rooms, common areas, and business areas.

The third project was for a youth hostel in Elk Island National Park in Canada. The hostel was to house guest rooms, common areas, employee areas, and a park ranger apartment.

The fourth project was the first task that we were given after Covid struck. This project was for a visitor's center in Williamsport, PA. Located at a popular tourist destination, the visitor's center was home to all information of the Susquehanna Valley.

As the virus grew, our last project was to create a reflection hall for Covid-19. As a tribute to everyone affected, I chose a site just a few blocks south of the WTC in New York City. The building was meant to be a place of meditation and reflection, and included a healing garden for pedestrians to reflect.

Shown to the left are the solutions to these projects as this semester threw us all a curve ball.
